The Beacon Hill Community Garden has received a grant from the Texas Native Plant Society, to plant host and nectar native plants for Monarch Butterflies.  Visit: Native Plant Society of Texas

The Monarch waystations will be in the butterfly garden in the Beacon Hill Community Garden and in the garden in the southern end of the the Beacon Hill Linear Park near the playground.

Monarch Butterflys are in serious trouble in large part, due to killing off of the plant that Monarchs feed on.  You can learn a lot from a recent NPR radio presentation at the following link:
